Following the explorer Francisco de Orellana’s footsteps, we’ll cross the Andes from 4,160 meters above sea level, close to the volcano Antisana (5,704 meters). We’ll stop in the thermal baths in Papallacta. Then we’ll continue to the clouded forest which lies below the Andes before entering the Amazon. The Liana Lodge is part of the foundation Selva Viva which protects this tropical rain forest and allows the habitants of the area coexist with nature with out destroying it. Walk through primary and secondary forest guided by a Quichua guide, while learning about this amazing ecosystem. Then Visit the Animal rescue center or ride in balsa boasts to get to know the surrounding communities.
